US buys nearly $900m worth of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers from Lockheed Martin

In addition to modernising the old M270 MLRS, the United States has also ordered a new batch of HIMARS from Lockheed Martin.

The information appeared on the website of the US Department of Defence. We are talking about a contract worth $861 million. Unfortunately, the number of installations is not disclosed. It is only known that the contract is planned to be completed by 31 May 2026.
Flashback
HIMARS is an American multiple launch rocket system. It is based on the US Army's five-tonne FMTV wheeled chassis. The MLRS can carry six rockets. The range of HIMARS is from 2 to 500 kilometres (depends on the projectiles).
