Samsung's Galaxy Watch 7 series of smartwatches will get a 3-nanometre Exynos W1000 processor
A month ago, rumours surfaced online that Samsung was planning to release the Galaxy Watch 7 smartwatch with a new chip on board. This has now been confirmed by The Korean Economic Daily.
Here's What We Know
The new chipset will indeed be called Exynos W1000. It will be built on the 3-nanometre SF3 process. In comparison, Samsung's current watch models run on the 5-nanometre Exynos W930 chip.
The report says that the Exynos W1000 will offer improved performance as well as 20 per cent higher power efficiency. In theory, the new smartwatch will live longer.
By the way, if leaks are to be believed, the new series will have three models: the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 7 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The devices are expected to be released this summer.
