Insiders have revealed additional details about Assassin's Creed Shadows: a similar combat pass and two story expansions are in store for the game
Today Ubisoft will present the debut trailer of Assassin's Creed Shadows (formerly Red), and more and more information about the long-awaited game in the setting of feudal Japan is already appearing online.
Here's What We Know
A well-known insider and specialist on Ubisoft games under the nickname j0nathan shared interesting information about the action game.
According to him, the game will really have two main characters - this is confirmed by the artwork that hit the web. The story of African samurai Yasuke will begin on a ship that will be attacked by pirates. They kill the crew and the hero's wife and leave him for dead, but Yasuke is rescued and sheltered in a temple from where his career as a samurai begins.
A shinobi girl named Naoé tries to avenge the murder of her father by members of the Ancient Order.
j0nathan confirms that a real historical character will appear in the game - warlord Hattori Hanzo, but what his role in the story is not yet clear.
Other information was shared by Tom Henderson, but it concerns not so much Shadows, but Assassin's Creed Infinity - a platform, which will be released simultaneously with the new game and will combine all parts of the series.
According to Henderson, Assassinʼs Creed Shadows through Infinity will introduce similar combat passes called Projects, each with 20 levels, and they will be released every few months.
Henderson knows the names of the first three "Projects" for Assassinʼs Creed Shadows:
- The Hidden Network;
- The Last Ronin;
- In The Shadows.
Henderson and j0nathan confirm that there will be two story expansions ($25 each) for Shadows, but as usual, gamers will also be offered a $40 Season Pass, which will include both expansions.
When We Can Expect It
The unconfirmed release date for Assassinʼs Creed Shadows is 15 November 2024.
The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
