Activision has announced the opening of Elsewhere Entertainment studio: the team is based on the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, The Witcher and Uncharted
Activision has been more often than not mentioned in a negative light lately due to controversial games, constant scandals, layoffs, studio closures and conflicts with unions.
Finally, Activision has announced some positive news.
Here's What We Know
The US giant announced the opening of Elsewhere Entertainment, a studio with an office in Warsaw, Poland, but with "additional resources" located in the US as well.
The studio was founded by game industry veterans who previously worked at CD Projekt RED and Naughty Dog on games such as Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, The Witcher and Uncharted.
Elsewhere Entertainment is already working on a high-budget game in a brand new franchise with narrative as its main element.
The newly formed team has been given access to all of Activision's resources and has big ambitions and plans, including outside of the gaming industry.
