Rumour: Microsoft wants to acquire Valve and is offering the owner of Steam, Counter-Strike, Dota and Half-Life $16 billion dollars
There are regular rumours on the web that "some big company wants to buy Valve".
This information has never been confirmed, but maybe this time it will be more serious.
Here's What We Know
Once again, this is a rumour, but a well-known contentmaker in the Counter-Strike community under the nickname Dior claims that Microsoft is allegedly offering Valve a $16 billion deal.
With approx. $80b CCE, Microsoft is preparing an offer of $16b for Valve

It should be emphasised that if such negotiations are taking place, the cost of buying Valve should be much higher, as the company owns not only the rights to such franchises as Counter-Strike, Dota, Half-Life, Portal and some other popular games, but also the super profitable digital shop Steam, where tens of millions of people spend their money every month.
As a possible motive for the purchase of Valve can be called the desire of Microsoft to enter the market of portable consoles, where the company Gabe Newell tightly established, thanks to Steam Deck.
Note that since most of the shares of Valve distributed among the employees of the company, its founder and owner Gabe Newell will not be able to make a decision on its sale - here everything is decided by collective opinion, but his share (about 25%) he can sell.
