The US signs an agreement with Airbus to supply unmanned helicopters

The US Navy Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has signed an agreement with Airbus to provide the Marine Corps with a prototype UH-72 Unmanned Logistic Connector.
Here's What We Know
The helicopters are being considered for the Marine Corps' Aerial Logistics Connector programme to enhance the nation's air capabilities.
The ULC is a variant of the Lakota helicopter, a twin-engine helicopter that was introduced to the US Army in 2007.
"Our UH-72 unmanned logistics helicopter leverages nearly two decades of U.S. military capability to offer Marines a versatile, affordable and durable solution for logistics missions around the world," said Rob Heckl, Head of Airbus Space and Defence.
The UH-72 ULC will carry up to 4,000 pounds of cargo, ranging from modular boxes to missile containers.
