Insider: Bandai Namco's next big project will be a new instalment in the Ace Combat series of military flight simulators
Publisher Bandai Namco is in no hurry to reveal its further novelties.
From the already announced games the public expects Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and Little Nightmares 3, but, obviously, this is not all that will surprise the Japanese company in the foreseeable future.
Here's What We Know
While chatting with Twitter followers, well-known insider Midori revealed that Bandai Namco's next big project is a game codenamed Chronicle, which is being worked on by ILCA and ORCA studios.
When asked what exactly the game hiding under that title is, Midori replied, "I think it's Ace Combat 8."
Of course, it's hard to judge the authenticity of her information, but the Ace Combat series of military flight simulators is quite popular, and the niche of such games is practically empty and Bandai Namco may well return to one of its most successful franchises.
As a reminder, the last instalment of Ace Combat, subtitled Skies Unknown, was released in 2019 and sold well, and the The popular flight simulator Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be released on Nintendo Switch in the summer of 2024 this July.
