Japan spotted China's WZ-10 reconnaissance and strike drone for the first time
The Japanese military detected a Chinese WZ-10 drone for the first time. It was flying over the East China Sea and approaching the island of Okinawa.
Here's What We Know
The WZ-10 crossed Japan's air defence identification zone. Despite the fact that the Chinese drone did not violate airspace, the Land of the Rising Sun raised fighter jets.
As it seems, the WingLoong 10 has finally entered PLAAF service, allegedly as a dedicated EW-UAV with the official designation WZ-10.

The unmanned aerial vehicle was developed by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group. It is designed for reconnaissance missions and precision strikes. The UAV was put into service at the end of 2022.
The WZ-10 belongs to the Wing Loong family. The drone is 9 metres long, 4 metres high and has a wingspan of 20 metres. It can reach speeds of more than 600 kilometres, climb to an altitude of 15 kilometres and stay in the air for 20 hours.
