Are gamers in for a new instalment of Stronghold? Firefly studio has applied for registration of a new trademark for Stronghold: The Dark Ages
Last year, The strategy classic has not lost its relevance: Steam users praised Stronghold: Definitive Edition and recommend to get acquainted with it the cult medieval strategy game Stronghold, which was very well liked by most gamers and led to the idea that the developers were planning to return to their franchise.
At that time it was assumed that Firefly Studios would release a remaster of Stronghold Crusader, but probably the developers' plans are somewhat different.
Here's What We Know
In the network there was information that back in April the studio filed an application for registration of trade mark Stronghold: The Dark Ages, which is currently under review and verification.
Perhaps, under this name hides a new part of the famous series, especially since the subtitle "The Dark Ages" (The Dark Ages) is as good as possible for a medieval strategy.
But there is one problem: as recently reported by insider Tom Henderson, the same name will be given to the new part of DOOM, so he assumes that Firefly Studios will not get permission to use such a brand and will be forced to come up with another name.
