A colourful teaser for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has revealed the premiere date for Netflix's new animated series

Film company Netflix has revealed the premiere date of the animated series based on one of the most famous game franchises - Tomb Raider.

In a colourful teaser viewers are not only informed that the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will be released on October 10, but also showed some spectacular scenes from the adventures of the famous British aristocrat.

The events of the story will unfold after Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the 2018 game that completed the trilogy. In the new screen adaptation Lara Croft will engage in the usual business: the search for ancient artefacts, the exploration of ancient tombs, temples and caves, she will face powerful enemies and, as always, will become the cause of large-scale destruction.

Lara Croft will be voiced by acclaimed actress Hayley Atwell, known for her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The series will only be available on Netflix, but it is not yet known how many episodes it will have.
