Samsung Galaxy S10 receives update in the US

Samsung continues to excel in the mobile device market by providing its users with security and reliability. Recently, it was announced that the legendary Galaxy S10 series is receiving another update aimed at maintaining device security in the United States.

Here's What We Know

After a four-year cycle of releasing new versions of Android and regular security updates for the three devices in the line, Samsung released the latest software update for the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e in April 2023. Prior to this, the company had promised to stop regular updates for these models, but continues to support them now with less frequent releases.

The update that has been released is aimed at improving the security of the devices. For the Galaxy S10 and S10+, this is the April 2023 security patch that addresses 46 vulnerabilities.

The update maintains the security of the devices and is labelled as the "latest security certificate" from Verizon for users. The devices have received new firmware versions: G973USQU9IXE1, G975USQU9IXE1 and G970USQU9IXE1 for the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e, respectively.

Owners are advised to check the availability of the update via the Settings menu.
