Spotify to change prices for US plans: individual plan for $11.99, family plan for $19.99
Spotify has officially announced a price increase for its subscriptions in the US.

According to the company, the prices for all Spotify plans are changing for new subscribers and will take effect in the coming months for existing users.
Prices for individual plans will increase from $10.99 per month to $11.99, and student plans will increase from $5.99 per month. Group plans will also increase, with the Duo plan going from $14.99 per month to $16.99.
The biggest increase is in the cost of Spotify's family plan, which will now cost $19.99 per month, up from the previous $15.99.
Spotify did not provide any specific explanation for the price increase, but only assured the need to invest in the product and its features.
Compared to other services, YouTube Music offers a separate plan for $10.99, and Apple Music also costs $10.99 per month. Even Tidal, which was previously considered an expensive service, has reduced its prices to $10.99.
The news of the price increase comes just a few weeks after the company unveiled plans to create Car Thing units.
Spotify subscribers will be notified of the price change via email within the next month.
