In February, Electronic Arts laid off five per cent of its people, which is about 670 employees. However, despite this wave of layoffs, EA's top management earned $60 million.
Here's What We Know
CEO Andrew Wilson earned a little more than $25 million and was praised for meeting "key strategic and operational goals".
Laura Miele, president of EA Entertainment, technology and central development, earned a total of $12 million. She also led the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Meanwhile, CFO Stuart Canfield earned a total of $6.5 million.
According to Eurogamer, the total salary of EA employees was $148,704 per year, which means that Wilson earned 172 times more. However, we will lay off 670 people because this is the way to go.
