CD Projekt RED opens office in Boston to make next game in Cyberpunk universe "more American"
Back in 2022, CD Projekt RED opened an office in Boston to expand the company, as several large projects are in development, such as the new Witcher and the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, codenamed Project Orion. And the Boston office will focus its efforts on Cyberpunk.

CD Projekt explained on one of the podcasts that the North American studio was vital for the creation of the next game in the Cyberpunk universe, as many details in Cyberpunk 2077 were not authentically American and the Boston studio should fix this problem.
Executive producer Dan Hernberg said: "I think Cyberpunk is obviously a uniquely American story. It has a lot of punk-like energy, and it was written by an American, so it seems right to make it in America.
One of the developers then added that after the game was released, fans noticed that the manhole covers in the game resembled European manhole covers, not those commonly found in North America. And it seems that these are small things, but even they are important.
