Italy buys 28 Centauro II wheeled tank killers from Iveco - OTO Melara

Centauro II is a modern armoured vehicle, which is called "tank killer". It was developed by Italian companies Iveco and OTO Melara. It is designed to destroy tanks and other armoured targets, as well as to perform reconnaissance and infantry support missions. Centauro II is equipped with a powerful 120 mm smoothbore cannon. The vehicle is also equipped with advanced fire control, navigation and communication systems. The armour protection of the Centauro II is enhanced compared to previous models.

The speed and manoeuvrability of this wheeled vehicle allow it to react quickly to threats and move over various types of terrain. The Centauro II is actively used by the Italian Armed Forces and is exported to other countries.
