The US will give Ukraine a new $2.3bn aid package that will include missiles for Patriot and NASAMS air defence systems
The United States of America is preparing a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
This was revealed by Defence Minister Lloyd Austin during a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov on 2 July. The new package will be worth $2.3bn and will include ammunition for various systems and anti-tank weapons.
In addition, the US will transfer to Ukraine a new batch of interceptors for Patriot and NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems. All the weapons will be taken from the stockpiles of the US Army. That is, the deliveries should begin in the near future.
