Patriot SAM battery, missiles for NASAMS and shells for artillery: US announces new $225m military aid package for Ukraine

The United States of America has announced a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The new package is designed for $225 million and includes:

• A battery of Patriot surface-to-air missile system
• Ammunition for NASAMS SAMs
• Ammunition for HIMARS multiple launch rocket system
• Missiles for the Stinger MANPADS system
• Artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm calibre
• TOW anti-tank guided missiles
• Javelin and AT-4 antitank guided missiles
• Small arms ammunition
• Mine clearance equipment
• Spare parts

Deliveries of weapons are expected to begin shortly.
