Despite criticism from gamers, Ubisoft will not be postponing the release of Star Wars Outlaws

As we have already reported, Ubisoft report surprises: online games Skull & Bones and XDefiant have "exceeded company expectations" and are performing well for the first quarter of this year and answered questions from investors, business partners and journalists.

A number of questions were related to Star Wars Outlaws - the game, which is expected to be released at the end of August.

Here's What We Know

The other day IGN portal showed a 10-minute gameplay video of Star Wars Outlaws, which according to many gamers showed the low quality of the game. Many people thought that the action game looks somewhat raw and is not ready for release yet.

Bank of America analyst asked Ubisoft whether they are not worried about the mixed reviews of critics and whether they plan to postpone the release of the game. Frederick Duguet, CFO of the French publisher, replied that the game has already "gone gold" and postponing the release is almost impossible.

He noted that the video shown by IGN does not reflect the real quality of Star Wars Outlaws, as the public will soon be able to see:

We will soon see more content of very high quality and hours in length that truly reflects the depth of the open world. This is a key element to the enjoyment of exploring a galaxy with multiple planets.

Well, hopefully Ubisoft's CFO isn't wishful thinking and the game will indeed come out with a decent physical design.

When We Can Expect It

Star Wars Outlaws will release on 30 August on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
