Insider: one of the next Xbox Game Pass releases will be Mafia: Definitive Edition
Microsoft won't reveal the next list of Xbox Game Pass titles until early August, but thanks to well-known insider Nate Drake, one of the games that's sure to delight fans of crime dramas has been revealed.
Here's What We Know
Users of the ResetEra form asked Nate Drake to share some interesting news, to which the latter replied that "Mafia will be added to Game Pass."
Since the first game of the franchise was released in 2002 and is not compatible with modern consoles, apparently we're talking about Mafia: Definitive Edition, a remake that was released in 2020 by 2K and Hangar 13 Studios.
The informant didn't specify whether Mafia will be added in the first half of August or the second, nor did he say whether it's just the first instalment or whether Game Pass will include Mafia II and Mafia III. But adding the entire trilogy would be a great decision, especially since it's no secret that a new instalment of the series is in development and having all the games in the franchise available on Game Pass would attract a lot of new fans to the franchise.
