It's not that bad: the developer of Stalker 2 has corrected its own mistake and named the correct information about the game's performance on Xbox Series S

A few days ago New Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl details - duration, story DLC, mod support, Microsoft's influence, performance and A-Life 2.0 system details developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, in which the lead producer Slava Lukyanenka said that on the weak Xbox Series S console at the moment the game runs at 25 FPS.

This figure somewhat upset users of this device, because to play a dynamic and complex shooter with such a framerate will be, to put it mildly, not convenient.

But it turned out that the developer made a reservation and the situation is much better.

Here's What We Know

On his page in X producer GSC Game World explained that due to heavy workload and fatigue, he gave an inaccurate figure.

In fact, with the current optimisation on Xbox Series S Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl runs at 34-36 FPS, and the confusion arose due to the fact that in some locations the game's performance drops, which is what the developers are fighting against now.

In general, the game designers aim for the shooter to produce a stable 30 FPS on Series S in all locations, while on Series X, users can expect 60 FPS.

In optimising Stalker 2 Ukrainian developers are assisted by Microsoft, which allows us to hope for decent performance on the release day of the highly anticipated game.

When We Can Expect It

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on November 20 on PC and Xbox Series, the shooter will immediately appear in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue.
