Ministry of Defence puts into operation first underground stabilisation point for the Armed Forces

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has demonstrated the first underground stabilisation point for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

The report states that the hospital is constructed of six steel bunkers equipped with ventilation, water supply and alternative power sources. Thanks to modern medical equipment, the bunkers can provide treatment to more than 100 wounded people a day.

The project is the first step in a large-scale initiative to build more than 20 such hospitals underground.

"Such underground facilities are critical for saving the lives of our military. In the face of intense hostilities, we must provide maximum protection and prompt medical care to our heroes. This is the first step in a large-scale project that will strengthen our medical infrastructure and allow us to support our defenders on the front line even more effectively," explained Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.

It was also noted that the construction of the first station was carried out by the Ministry of Defence in cooperation with Metinvest Group.
