Sony has removed the Concord page on the PlayStation website, and all information about the game has been removed from the PS Store
We wrote that Sony would shut down the servers of the shooter Concord on 6 September and refund the money for it. And now the page with the game has been removed altogether.
Here's What We Know
If you try to find the Concord page on the PlayStation website, you will not succeed. If you open the link to the page, you will see a 404 error and an Astro Bot (which is a bit ironic).
The PS Store still has the page, but all information about the game has disappeared, as well as the ability to buy it. On Steam, by the way, the page is still alive.
The situation on Reddit is also interesting. Now you can post something on the Concord subreddit only after the post is checked by moderation, which has reduced activity to almost zero.
And as we wrote on 3 September, Sony is not talking about a complete abandonment of Concord, instead, Firewalk Studio will try to find a way to solve the main shortcomings of the shooter and attempt to resuscitate the stillborn game.
There have been failed releases in the history of the industry, after which developers completely revised the project, but only a few times did it lead to positive results. Perhaps the most successful example of such a metamorphosis is Final Fantasy XIV, which was harshly criticised at release and is now one of the most beloved MMORPGs.
To be honest, it is unlikely that Concord can be saved in any way, but let's see what Sony comes up with.
