Larian allows players to uninstall Baldur's Gate III update 7 to continue playing with mods

Baldur's Gate III has received its seventh major update. However, certain features that were previously available in the game will not work with the new update for some time, so Larian gives you the opportunity to return to the previous version of the game.

Here's What We Know

This is necessary for those who want to continue playing with mods, because their authors need more time to update their mods, continue playing online between PC and Mac, or ensure that cross-saves between PC and consoles work.

To do this, do the following:

  1. Right-click on BG3 in your Steam library > Properties > Betas.
  2. In the beta version, select: release_patch6_hf9

In the seventh patch, the developers promise to improve almost all elements of Baldur's Gate III: the game will fix more than a thousand bugs, eliminate minor flaws, add staged scenes for some characters and an additional "evil" ending. But the main innovation will be a full-fledged custom modification editor, which will allow players to create entire plots on their own.

The update is currently available only on PC, and will appear on consoles later.
