iOS 18 has a new feature to pause video recording while shooting

Apple has introduced a new feature in iOS 18 that allows users to pause video recording while shooting. Thanks to this option, you can combine several segments in one video without having to constantly start and stop new recordings.

Here's What We Know

When a user starts recording a video in iOS 18, a new pause button appears on the left side of the screen. Pressing it pauses the recording, and pressing it again allows you to resume it. As before, you can end the recording using the middle pause button.

The new feature is already available to developers and public beta testers in the latest version of the iOS 18 release candidate. This feature is expected to become standard for all iPhone 16 models.

The official release of iOS 18 is scheduled for Monday, 16 September, and iPhone 16 models will go on sale on Friday, 20 September.
