Unique video: Polaris Down mission members performed the first-ever spacewalk by non-professional astronauts

The SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft team has carried out a historic civilian spacewalk.

Here's What We Know

At the moment in orbit of the Earth continues mission Polaris Down, in which the commander of the ship (and mission sponsor) Jared Isaacman and SpaceX engineer Sarah Gillis for 15-20 minutes each left Crew Dragon and found themselves in outer space at an altitude of about 700 km.

Notably, there is no airlock on the craft and in fact the two crew members who did not leave Crew Dragon were also in outer space.

This flight is of immense importance for the development of the space industry and demonstrates that, in theory, everyone can fulfil their dreams and look at Earth from space.
