Second time in 2 years: Apple has raised the price of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max battery replacement by 20 per cent

The year before last, Apple increased the battery replacement fee from $69 to $99 for all four models of the iPhone 14 lineup. And now we're in for our second price increase in two years.

Here's What It Costs

According to the iPhone repair and service page, replacing the battery in an iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max now costs $119 instead of $99. That is, Apple has increased the rates by 20 per cent.

At the same time, the rates for the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus remained the same - $99.

Fees may vary with third-party Apple authorised service providers.

Customers with AppleCare+ can still get their iPhone 16 Pro battery replaced for free, but only if it has retained less than 80 per cent of its original capacity.
