Qatar has sold 12 PzH 2000 self-propelled guns to Germany, which will transfer them to Ukraine

In the first half of 2024, the German government approved the sale of the latest 155 mm RCH 155 wheeled self-propelled guns to Qatar, which will in return transfer 12 PzH 2000s to Ukraine.

The German Aid to Ukraine project has determined that the 12 Qatari PzH 2000s are worth about €150 million.

The total volume of German arms exports to Qatar in the first half of 2024 was about 100 million euros, with RCH 155s accounting for most of this amount. According to reports, the Qatari PzH 2000s will arrive in Germany, undergo repairs, and then be sent to the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

In addition, it has been reported that Germany has also bought back Gepard systems from Qatar, which the country purchased to support the security of the FIFA World Cup
