Kickstarter raises money for AlarmKok anal alarm clock - "an innovative analogue morning companion designed to change the way you wake up"
This gadget looks like some kind of anal toy, immediately attracts attention and, in fact, is one. The team of creators says that the idea came out of a joke and a search for "unconventional ways to wake up". They really believe that this concept has real potential and are not shy about not only the idea, but also the use of words and phrases such as "innovative", "unique", and "analogue morning companion".
AlarmKok will not have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, and its built-in battery will last only 11 hours of standby time (probably the maximum sleep duration for a person). Therefore, it will need to be recharged (in about an hour) every day. The developers already have a working prototype. It allows you to choose one of ten wake-up modes ("allowing you to select the intensity and vibration pattern according to your needs"). This way, you can choose a "soft" gradual wake-up or something "more invigorating".
The device has a small monochrome display with inversion, two control keys (one for selecting the mode, the other for setting the time) and a 4-LED charge indicator.
The gadget was developed by a team called Eye Design, based in Australia. They envisage the price of AlarmKok at 200 Australian dollars (135 US dollars). The first buyers can pay only AU$129 on Kickstarter and receive the new product in January 2025 with free shipping to any part of the world. At the time of publication, there were only 14 out of 150 such orders. The authors of AlarmKok plan to raise AU$55,000 to launch the device and need to succeed in the crowdfunding campaign by 16 November.
