Gemini Live is already available for Android users
Last week, Google announced the launch of Gemini Live for free users, and now the feature is starting to appear on Android devices.
Here's What We Know
After the announcement, users noticed a new option in the Gemini app settings called "Gemini Voice". This option allows you to choose one of 10 voice options for all voice responses in the app.
Recently, the first reports of the launch of Gemini Live for free accounts have appeared. For example, on the Pixel 6 Pro in the US, you can see a new wave icon in the bottom right corner of the screen, replacing the old grey "Send" button.
After launching Gemini Live, users receive a short tutorial that explains how to select a voice and use commands to stop the microphone. A "Live with Gemini" notification also allows you to end the mode.
Gemini Live is only available for Android users, while iOS does not yet have this feature. However, the iPhone app has been given a direct shortcut to Gemini on the home screen.
