Concord's game director leaves Firewalk, and the studio is in a state of uncertainty
The online shooter Concord lasted only two weeks, and then Sony shut down the servers, as it turned out that no one actually wanted the game. However, now Firewalk Studios is in a state of uncertainty, waiting for Sony's decision on the future.
Here's What We Know
Kotaku has written an extensive article about the situation in the studio that created Concord.
One of the significant changes in the studio is the departure of game director Ryan Ellis. Previously, he worked at Bungie, where he was involved in the Destiny shooter, and in 2017, he joined Firewalk to lead the development of Concord.
Some in the studio remain optimistic about its potential return, while others are more pessimistic.
Firewalk Studios, which currently employs around 150-170 people, is facing the challenge of identifying its next project. Some speculate that the studio could be involved in co-developing one of Sony's other games. However, there is also growing concern about the possibility of mass layoffs or even the closure of the entire studio.
However, we can be sure that we will hear more about this studio and the game.
