All fears of sceptics are groundless: journalists are impressed with Dragon Age: The Veilguard and have no doubts about the success of the game
Many fans of the Dragon Age franchise are sceptical about the new part with the subtitle The Veilguard - it has a different style, strange interface, radically different combat system and in general it doesn't resemble the previous parts, at least according to the trailers.
But does it mean that BioWare has made a bad game and the studio will repeat the failed release of Mass Effect: Andromeda? No, it doesn't mean that - the enthusiastic previews of journalists tell about it.
Here's What We Know
Authoritative gaming media had the opportunity to participate in a private screening of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, where they were presented six hours of gameplay, but during the event the developers switched between different builds of the game, so journalists saw unrelated elements of the new RPG.
The authors of the materials agree that Dragon Age: The Veilguard will definitely not be a failure. They were satisfied with what they saw and noted that the game turns out to be quite complex, complex, closely related to the past parts (especially Inquisition) and does not hesitate to throw the player immediately into difficult challenges without prior training.
Journalists are impressed with the revamped combat system, which feels more like an action game than an RPG. In the battle it is necessary to competently combine the abilities of the main character and his partners, to give orders, to think over further actions and to choose the right tactics for different enemies.
Also the authors of the preview are impressed by the dialogues between the characters, they turned out to be emotional, lively and meaningful, and the player, unlike many RPGs, immediately understands what his lines and actions will lead to.
The game has a good technical execution, excellent graphics, amazingly realistic hair physics and incredibly flexible character editor, which allows you to customise every element, including underwear.
A PC Gamer journalist noted that he was sceptical about Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but after the reveal he has no doubts about the game's success.
We leave a few video previews so that everyone can be convinced of the journalists' words.
When We Can Expect It
Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on 31 October on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
