Android Auto adds crash and congestion reporting for US drivers
Google has added a long-awaited feature to Android Auto for users in the US. Drivers can now report accidents, traffic jams, and other road hazards directly from their car screen.
Here's What We Know
This feature was previously available on Apple CarPlay, but was not available to Android Auto users.
The feature provides a convenient way for drivers to keep others informed about what's happening on the road, reducing distractions while driving. This option allows drivers to easily report road conditions without taking their eyes off the wheel. To do so, simply tap the button below the compass on the Google Maps screen.
While the feature is already available in the US, some users have noted that the new button may not appear on all devices due to screen size or Android Auto layout settings.
