YouTube to restore Adele and Kanye West's hits after deal with SESAC
YouTube has entered into an agreement with SESAC that will allow the return of deleted songs by artists such as Adele and Kanye West.
Here's What We Know
Over the weekend, many hits disappeared due to the lack of a licensing renewal agreement. SESAC (Society of European Stage Authors and Composers) represents more than 15,000 songwriters and licences more than 1.5 million songs for public performance.
If you're in the United States ➡️ ️we're happy to share that YouTube has reached a deal with SESAC. Content (that was previously blocked) will be restored across YouTube services over the next day or two. We appreciate all your patience ????
