The US helped shoot down Iranian missiles flying at Israel
US destroyers deployed in the eastern Mediterranean shot down several Iranian missiles flying towards Israel on the evening of 1 October.
Here's What We Know
The Pentagon has not officially confirmed this information. However, earlier, US President Joe Biden instructed the US military to help Israel repel an Iranian missile attack.
National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett said that Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were monitoring the situation with Iran's massive missile attack.
Most likely, the United States expected Iran to launch ballistic missile attacks on Israel after the start of the Israeli operation against the pro-Iranian group Hezbollah.
It is worth noting that Israel said that Iran fired 180 ballistic missiles on 1 October. The Israeli army stressed that this attack would have consequences for Iran.
