Another innovation: Apple may reduce the number of buttons on the iPhone 17
Apple is preparing new changes in the design of the future iPhone 17 lineup. The number of buttons on the new smartphones may be reduced to three.
Here's What We Know
The iPhone 15 series introduced the Action Button, replacing the old silent mode switch. This button allows you to launch applications or perform other actions. The iPhone 16 added a Camera Control button for shooting and zooming. However, in iPhone 17, Apple plans to change the approach to the number and location of keys.
From what I've been told, it looks like Apple is testing an iPhone 17 Pro with a new button that will replace the volume buttons and the action button that have been removed.

According to insider @MajinBuOfficial, instead of four buttons on different sides of the device, the company will keep only the power button, Camera Control button and move the Action Button to the opposite side, combining its functions with the volume buttons. The new button will act as an Action Button when pressed, adjust volume when slid and launch apps when held.
In addition, there are reports that Apple will replace the iPhone Plus lineup with the sleeker iPhone Slim model, which will emphasise design over performance.
