The time of fog and horror: the full release of the remake of the cult horror Silent Hill 2

Horror fans have been waiting for it for so long and it's finally here. From now on, everyone can play the Silent Hill 2 remake on PlayStation 5 and PC.

The game became available on the 6th of October for those who purchased the Deluxe edition, but the full release took place on the 8th of October.

This is a survival-horror that tells the story of how, after receiving a letter from his late wife, the protagonist James sets off in the hope of seeing her again in the city with which they are connected by memories: Silent Hill. There, by the lake, he meets a woman who looks very much like her. But what really brought him to the town?

The game was developed by Bloober Team. The team approached the remake with great care and respect for the original game. The developers worked closely with the creators of the original game to preserve the unique atmosphere of Silent Hill 2.

One of the features of the horror remake is the standard third-person view. The game also rebuilt the combat system and improved facial animations to better convey the emotions of the characters.

The game was created on the Unreal Engine 5 game engine. We also used Lumen for lighting and Nanite for level design. All this helped to update the foggy city and enhance its atmosphere.

SH2 has received high marks from players and critics, so we can only be happy for the developers and all fans.
