WhatsApp expands customisation options: new themes and colours for chats are already available in the beta version of the iOS app

WhatsApp continues to develop its chat customisation feature, adding new themes and colours in its latest beta update for iOS (version 24.20.71).

Here's What We Know

Users can now choose chat designs from 22 different themes and 20 colours. In the chat info section, you can set a colour and then WhatsApp will automatically pick the appropriate wallpaper. Users can also change the wallpaper manually to give each chat a unique look.

Unlike Instagram, where the theme is applied to both chat participants, in WhatsApp, the theme will only be visible to the user who set it. The feature is only available to beta testers for now, but should soon be available to all users.
