Ukraine adopts law allowing military to independently determine people who will receive payments

The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 11407, which allows the military to independently determine family members or people who will receive payments in the event of their disappearance or capture.

Here's What We Know

If a serviceman does not make a personal order, the money will be paid in equal parts to his wife or husband, legal representatives of minor children and parents.

In the absence of representatives from this list, the money will go to adult children, siblings whose legal representative is a serviceman, in a total amount not exceeding 20%.
