A demo of the unusual PvP/PvE shooter SAND from Ukrainian studio Hologryph has been released on Steam

In the summer of 2023, the Ukrainian studio Hologryph announced an unusual PvP/PvE game SAND. The shooter interested the public with an unusual setting of the alternative history of the 1910s.

Here's What We Know

In the digital service Steam demo version of SAND became available and everyone can familiarise themselves with the game.

In the demo, players are invited to build a huge mechanical pedomobile called Trampler and use it for battles with other players.

The content of the demo is severely limited, as the developers are still focused on making sure that the basic PvP mechanics work fine and do not need to be revised.

In SAND's storyline, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was the first to explore other planets, and after an ecological disaster occurred on the planet Sophie, the Kaiser of Austria-Hungary persuaded the inhabitants of Galicia (modern-day Western Ukraine) to go there to establish new settlements.

In terms of gameplay, Sand is reminiscent of Sea of Thieves, but instead of sailing ships, the game will feature a desert that was once the bottom of the sea, and a walking vehicle - the Trumpler, which can be operated by a single player or a small company.

Players will have to use the Trampler to travel around Sophie and fight each other for control of the vehicle, which is helped by firearms similar to those of the early 20th century.

The game looks interesting and has a good chance of success.

No release date for SAND has been named yet, but the developers encourage you to add it to your wishlist.
