XDefiant producer assures that the developers have no plans to close the game after the release of the fourth season
Despite constant problems, Ubisoft has had several successful projects over the past few years, and XDefiant is one of them. The game was released after several postponements and, despite technical problems, had a relatively successful start. However, over time, the number of players began to gradually decrease, and rumours began to circulate online that Ubisoft would stop supporting the shooter amid financial problems, but this is not the case.
To be crystal clear there are NO plans to shut down after season 4. I've literally been in meetings as of last week to discuss our Year 2 plans. But, right now we are super focused on improving the technical experience (which includes netcode) and adding more content for Seasons...

Here's What We Know
According to the game's executive producer Mark Rubin, players have nothing to fear: he dispelled any rumours about the end of the game's support and said that the developers are currently actively working on improving the technical condition of XDefiant, as well as developing content that will be included in Season 4. Rubin also said that the company is also planning to conduct a more aggressive marketing campaign as Ubisoft seeks to attract more players.
