A new trailer for Dune: Prophecy has revealed the premiere date for the prequel to the cult franchise

Film company Warner Bros. revealed the premiere date of the series, which will be a prequel to the famous franchise Dune Frank Herbert.

Viewers were presented with an atmospheric trailer of the series "Dune: Prophecy" (Dune: Prophecy), which revealed and the date of its release - it will take place on 17 November 2024.

The events of the series will unfold 10 thousand years before the twists and turns of the main saga, part of which are the films of Denis Villeneuve.

Dune: Prophecy will focus on the history of the female order of Bene Gesserit, which had a great influence on the balance of power in the galaxy and dictated its terms on the political arena.

The plot of the series is partly based on the novel "Sisterhood of Dune" by Brian Herbert, the son of Dune creator Frank Herbert.

The main characters will be two sisters of House Harkonnen, who will confront forces that could threaten the future of humanity.

The roles of Valya and Tula Harkonnen are played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams.

Viewers will be offered six episodes, which will be available on Max's streaming service.
