Microsoft will allow Windows 11 users to reassign other actions to the Copilot key

New computers with integrated AI-assisted Copilot have a separate key to instantly activate the chatbot.

Despite the increasing spread of such technologies, some users prefer to do without the help of AI and especially for them a new feature will soon appear in Windows 11.

Here's What We Know

According to Windows Central, Microsoft is currently testing the ability to bind other actions to the Copilot key. For now, this option is only available in the test version of Windows 11 Build 27729, as well as members of the Windows Insider programme via Canary Channel.

Microsoft has not yet publicly announced the introduction of this feature, but if the testing is successful, then in one of the next updates this functionality will become publicly available, and those who do not want to use Copilot will be able to occupy the button with more preferable tasks.

Note that we are talking not only about Copilot+ series laptops, but also about newer keyboards, which also have such a key.
