Garmin launches testing of new software for Forerunner 165
Garmin has announced the start of testing a major software update for its Forerunner 165 smartwatch.
Here's What We Know
The update is already available in beta and contains more than six changes. However, not all of these features will be available in the basic model, which costs $249.
Among the new options are some that the company says are not available for the Forerunner 165. For example, in the public beta version 21.14, the company added the ability to automatically estimate metrics such as blood lactate levels and maximum strength that can be maintained during exercise.
However, users have pointed out that these changes were probably made by mistake.
The beta version includes new features such as meditation with video. Other improvements focus on bug fixes and better support for pool workouts. Users can find a detailed changelog on the Garmin forums, which showcases all the new features and innovations in the update.
