Apple's Tim Cook evacuates employee's grandmother from Kharkiv during shelling
A former Apple employee shared a touching story about how the company organised the evacuation of her grandmother from Kharkiv during the enemy shelling of 2023.
Here's What We Know
In her tweet, she expressed her deep gratitude to Apple for its active participation in the rescue of employees' relatives.
Apple CEO Tim Cook personally took control of the complex evacuation operation that was organised to safely remove the company's employee's grandmother from Kharkiv. В
I've never told how much @Apple did to help evacuate my grandmother from the hell that was happening in Kharkiv in 2023. They hired security contractors to get people out. The level of coordination on the ground and online was insane-translators, drivers, everything. Grateful. pic.twitter.com/6Uok3MiIpS

Tim Cook also took care to involve translators to ensure unimpeded communication between all participants in the operation, as the language barrier could have become a significant obstacle in such a critical situation.
Apple implemented this initiative without any advertising purpose and fully covered the costs of the evacuation.
