Killer of "Eagles": Ukrainian engineers have developed FPV drone interceptor VB140 Flamingo, which effectively destroys Russian reconnaissance UAVs

Ukrainian engineers continue to look for ways to effectively counter Russian drones.

The Vinnytsia Bees team is focusing on creating a means to destroy enemy reconnaissance UAVs, such as the Orlan, which hover over Ukrainian cities and correct missile strikes.

Here's What We Know

"Vinnitsa Bees" reported the completion of tests of the FPV drone-interceptor drone type "wing" VB140 Flamingo.

The drone can operate at an altitude of up to 4.5 kilometres and cover a distance of up to 50 kilometres. The VB140 Flamingo has proven its ability to identify, pursue and destroy Russian reconnaissance drones.

The UAV is equipped with high-precision sensors, and the added flexibility in configuration allows it to successfully perform missions at any time of day.

The VB140 Flamingo UAV is ready for introduction into the Ukrainian Defence Forces and scaling up production.

It should be noted that for several months already, the Ukrainian military has been successfully using FPV drones to combat enemy reconnaissance UAVs. This approach is as effective as possible, especially considering the fact that the cost of a drone is not comparable to the price of ammunition for air defence systems.
