Microsoft is dropping support for Paint 3D and improving it for classic Paint by adding AI features

Microsoft has officially ended support for the Paint 3D app that was released with Windows 10.

Here's What We Know

Paint 3D was intended for creating and editing 3D objects, as well as for augmented reality projects such as HoloLens. However, the app did not become popular among users who preferred the classic Paint for simple drawings and quick edits. As a result, Microsoft removed Paint 3D from the Microsoft Store, and it will no longer receive updates.

Instead, the company has focused on improving classic Paint by adding new artificial intelligence-based features. Users will now be able to create images by simply typing in a description, thanks to the integration of AI models like DALL-E 3. Microsoft also plans to add other AI-powered tools like Image Creator and Cocreator to make Classic Paint more powerful and accessible to all users, regardless of their design skills.
