Kia introduces ADVNTR and WKNDR electric vehicles for off-road travel and camping
Kia has unveiled two new electric concept vehicles at the SEMA 2024 exhibition - the ADVNTR SUV and the WKNDR camping van. Both models were developed by the California-based Kia Design Centre America (KDCA) for those who appreciate outdoor activities and nature.
Here's What We Know
The Kia ADVNTR is a rugged three-row e-SUV based on the 2025 EV9 model. The height of the SUV has been increased by 3 inches, making it suitable for off-road use. It has reinforced front and rear panels and special tyres. The roof rack can be used as a tent or additional storage space.
Built on the PBV platform, the Kia WKNDR is designed for camping and long journeys. It has a unique Gear Head feature on the side that is used for storage. The WKNDR's battery is charged by hydro turbine wheels and solar panels, and is equipped with off-road tyres, rotating seats and a compressor.
These models are concepts and are not planned for mass production, but the 2025 Kia EV9 will be launched in the US by the end of 2024.
