Journey to the Jungle is postponed - French publisher Microids has pushed back the release of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy to 2025
French publisher Microids had planned to release a remake of the cult quest Amerzone in November 2024, but unfortunately it won't happen.
Here's What We Know
The company announced that the release of Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy has been postponed to the second quarter of 2025.
As always, the developers explained their decision by the fact that they want to provide gamers with the highest quality project possible, for which they need additional time:
We made this decision to ensure players have the best possible experience and are fully immersed in this extraordinary adventure. We still have some work to do to make the game what we imagine it to be: a colourful tribute to Benoît Sokal and his work, as well as an exciting journey.
In Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy players will go to a settlement lost in the jungles of Latin America to solve the mystery of mysterious white birds. As it is supposed to be in quests, gamers will have a lot of dialogue with characters, solve puzzles and riddles, explore locations, compare facts and think a lot.
Amerzone: The Explorer's Legacy will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
