Democracy is well-protected: shooter Helldivers 2 attracted 15 million players

At the beginning of the year the release of co-operative shooter Helldivers 2 took place, which made a lot of noise and immediately attracted a huge number of players.

At the Golden Joystick Awards 2024, Arrowhead Game Studios took home four awards in the categories of Best Multiplayer, Console Game of the Year, Critics' Choice and Best Game Trailer.

The developers thanked gamers from the stage for their interest in Helldivers 2 and said the shooter's audience has reached 15 million people (59:05)

For a premium project, which is not available for free in subscription services - this is an excellent result, and as for the drop in online - it is a standard story for service games and surely the attention of the public will return with the release of a major update or add-on.

Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PlayStation 5 and there are rumours that Sony is looking to release it on Xbox.
