Call of Duty is about to introduce a new mode based on the theme of Netflix's popular series The Squid Game
Popular gaming franchise Call of Duty and Netflix show The Squid Game have teamed up to create a new game mode.
Here's What We Know
The mode will be available in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, and is scheduled to launch in January 2025 to coincide with the release of the show's second season on 26 December. Details of the mode remain unknown for now, but it's expected that players will be able to participate in a "Squid Game" using advanced weaponry or play as guards shooting at contestants.
The collaboration is part of a wider Netflix marketing campaign that also includes a multiplayer smartphone game based on the series. There are also plans to produce a reality show based on The Squid Game, though several injuries have already occurred on set. Details on the new Call of Duty mode will be revealed next month.
